This is a Kontakt Player instrument, meaning you don’t need to own the full version of NI Kontakt to use it. It functions as a plug-in instrument in any VST, AU, RTAS, AAX, or WASAPI-compatible host program or DAW, such as Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live, Digital Performer, Reaper, or Pro Tools. No additional purchase is required.

The Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) offers seamless integration with Komplete Kontrol software and hardware, including S-Series keyboards and Maschine. Sona/Chroma appears in the Native Browser alongside your other NKS instruments, with Native Map® enabling direct parameter control via connected hardware. Light Guide displays key ranges on S-Series keyboards for enhanced usability. While not required, using an S-Series keyboard provides the full, intuitive NKS experience.
